    great base for exploring madrid's landmarks and parks

    I had a great time walking around and visiting famous spots like Parque del Retiro, just a little over 2 km away, and the fine Royal Palace of Madrid, a bit over three kilometers from the hotel and accessible to the best of Madrid.

    The cleaning. The staff's attempt to counteract organizational shortcomings

    The arrival. The reserved car park was full and we could not get off and land from it. The room (entrance 15h) was not available until 16h. Health problems required me to make use of the bed, I had to stretch out on the floor in the hall. The staff wanted to make amends with the breakfast service. The 3-bed room, were 2 very comfortable and a child's folding. The hotel accepts pets, it does not say anything about the amount that must be paid until you have made the reservation and you call to confirm. It costs 22 euros! We were not charged for this as compensation for the inconvenience. We did not have the pet pack either. Reason: there were 7 pets accommodated. The check-in/out ceremony should be shorter, especially when you expose the urgent need to get to the room.

    The beautiful king room offered fine views and really good comfort, perfect for an art historian like me. The front desk staff showed great hospitality, though some communication issues during checkout occurred. A nice experience.
